Welcome to Kingsland C.E. Academy
Together We are Walking in the Light with Jesus
Our children are offered an exciting, fun and creative curriculum.
As a Church of England Academy our Christian ethos is at the heart of everything we do. We believe in the importance of developing children’s social skills and confidence leading to informed decision making.

SIAMS Self-Evaluation
A SIAMS inspection focuses on the impact of the Christian vision on pupils and adults. This involves looking at the school’s Christian vision, the provision the school makes because of this vision and how effective this provision is in enabling all pupils to flourish. View our SIAMS Self-Evaluation document by clicking the button below.
"I like RE because we go on trips, have visitors into school, who talk to us, like Bishop Michael and Bishop Geoff."
Kingsland Pupil
"I like RE because people come into school from church and we do activities with them, this is a different way of learning in RE."

Our Vision, Values & Ethos
We value our children, staff and families and welcome them into our caring, happy and safe Church of England school community.
“I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won’t have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life.” – Jesus
John 8 v12
Our Values
Our values help us to walk in the light with Jesus - prayer, kindness, peace, forgiveness, generosity and respect.
Prayer
Children have the opportunity to write a prayer or light a candle everyday in our main entrance.
Kindness
Our Chaplain’s Team regularly show friendship and compassion on behalf of all at Kingsland as they write to Kendry in Nicaragua through the charity Compassion U.K.
Peace
5PB have learned how to be a peacemaker and shared this with us when they led worship for the school.
Forgiveness
5VH have learned about forgiveness and shared this with us when they led worship for the school.
Generosity
Children and families are always very generous when Kingsland supports a number of charities throughout the school year to help those less fortunate.
Respect
Our Worship Team regularly remind us of how to be respectful of everyone when they lead worship for us each half term.
The Christian ethos permeates the school. Pupils feel safe and cared for. They have warm and trusting relationships with adults in the school. Pupils hold the chaplain in high regard and can share any concerns and worries with him.

Ignite the creativity in every child
1:1 iPads at Kingsland
Every child is born full of creativity and nurturing it is one of the most important things educators can do. In September 2019 we launched our 1:1 iPad scheme so that every child from Y1 to Y6 has an iPad which they can use at school and at home.
Love to read
Helping our children to become passionate readers.
Our role is to instil and nurture a love of reading for all our pupils. We have an extensive and exciting range of books for the children to read and a well stocked school library. Our aim is to provide books that are both stimulating and challenging.
Phonics Made Simple
Find out why children love using Read Write Inc.
We use a phonics programme called ‘Read Write Inc’, a method of learning centred around letter sounds and phonics, blending them together to read and write words.
Apple Regional Training Centre
In 2018 we proudly became the Apple Regional Training Centre for Stoke.
Apple RTC’s deliver free courses to build the skills and confidence of educators to use Apple technology.
Academy Curriculum
A curriculum that challenges, engages and motivates children to learn.
We work hard to make learning fun for everyone. Children are encouraged to develop their independence and become creative learners. Children study all subjects through a main text as we encourage all to become avid readers. Educational visits offer exciting opportunities to support topics, which brings learning to life and widens experiences.

The St. Bart’s Multi-Academy Trust is committed to improving the life chances of all children, wherever they may be.
This moral obligation, our mission, does not end at the school gates, within our own Local Authorities, or even within our own country. Where St. Bart’s Academies have the capacity to make a difference, they are morally bound to do so.
